The story behind our optical glasses

After a long day at work, our designers, Bieber and Fifou, looked up at the sky to admire the stars, like two great artists searching for inspiration. That’s when their eyes widened. No, it wasn’t the alien waving at them that caught their attention, but rather the revelation they had just discovered: “We’re going to create an optical collection straight out of space!” they exclaimed while looking at each other.

Without knowing it, they were about to embark on a new joyful adventure and create lots of new little Binocle designs.

Well, with a few details left out, that’s basically how the new optical collection by Binocle Eyewear was born.

Meaning: why star names?

The special feature of this prescription glasses collection? Each pair has the name of a star, and this is no coincidence! Space is infinite and so is our imagination, but above all, the first tool related to vision that helped great explorers in their discoveries was the astronomical telescope, better known simply as a telescope.

This tool played a major role throughout history, especially in discovering the stars located far away from us. This first collection is therefore inspired by these great moments of discovery linked to vision.
